As
ardent a proponent and supporter of OWS efforts as I am, I consider it a
tragedy that OWS is involved in anti 2nd Amendment efforts. It is
an accepted truth with OWS that Corporate America, in conjunction with
corporatized and corporate paid for Congress, is at economic and Bill
of Rights WAR against Americans, democracy and the U.S., as it was
conceived of and founded to be. The Constitution was created by men with
vision, who anticipated that the changes of history which they were
already aware of, was a constant force, and factored the unstoppable
changeable nature of life into the verbiage of the Constitution. Just as
the founding fathers were aware of the evolution of weaponry throughout
the ages past, they knew to anticipate further changes in weaponry in
the future. Being so, it would have been pointless for them to guarantee
the right of the People to have weaponry to protect themselves from
rogue governments into the future -let's remember, the Constitution is a
future oriented document-, if they didn't intend them to have weapons
adequate to defend themselves from the weapons that would be turned upon
them in the future. At this very moment, Homeland Security, which is
authorized to use weaponry only within the U.S., is arming itself with
enough lethal weapons to wipe out all Americans in this country, twice
over. Why? Can it be for any other reason than that which Bloomberg had
to conspire with the government to suppress OWS and ultimately unleash
N.Y.C. statist thugs upon peaceful protestors? The government which you
pay for is arming itself with advance weaponry to suppress you and your
right to express your grievances openly to the public. If Homeland
Security didn't intend to use so much weaponry and ammunition against
you, why are they spending so much of your money to practically cornier
the market on the products. It isn't just to enrich the pockets of
weapon manufacturers, even though you can be sure they play their usual
part. The People need automatic weapons, at least, to defend ourselves
even slightly from that which Corporate Government has organized to use
against us. Meanwhile, I question over and over, if OWS is concerned
about gun violence, why they don't organize effective protests against
the War On Drugs Industry, which defrauds the Public of vast amounts of
money, and is responsible for more gun violence than any other causative
factor.
As it appears in the comments section of this The Hill article, "The risk of cyber security is over-exaggerated... If some systems are really critical, the controls for
their shutdown should never be online," many people believe the same.
To the degree of this belief's legitimacy, it begs the question, then, what the cybersecurity noise and Obama meeting is attempting to distract and divert public attention from? The public's cyber privacy violation by government, perhaps?
More
than any other consideration of the issue, however, at a time when the People's government claims not to be
able to afford to address the People's needs with the People's own
money, Obama is talking about spending the People's money to afford
greater cyber security for corporations.
Obama is prepared to talk about
more Corporate subsidies...
It's criminal!
It's breach of the President's constitutional fiduciary to the People, for the benefit of business.
It
has become characteristic of Washington that even when there is
allegedly not enough of the People's money left in the bank to pay for
the People's pressing needs and issues, many of which they lump under
the catch all term "entitlements," Washington still manages to find
enough of the People's money to give the environment and nation
destroying IMF, United Nations, and most atrocious of all, bribe and
subsidy money to allow the U.S. Military and U.S. Corporations into
foreign countries, like Israel, Pakistan and Egypt.
As with alcohol restrictions during Prohibition, which gave rise to
organized crime, the farsical "War On Drugs," which gave birth to
drug crimes, drug cartels and drug wars, if this measure passes the
House it will give a great rise to the illegal arms trade in Maryland
and the increased violence that goes with it; including a new reason for criminals to open fire on
ATF and police officials, just to prove they can. It's a recurring tragedy that those who refuse to deal with the social issues underlying crime, like mental health, drug addiction, poverty and joblessness, ineffectively treat the symptoms while the condition grows worse.
Wow! While the article is Right On about globalization efforts via war propaganda, this research center appears to have been hijacked to appear to be a propaganda arm of the Corporate Right attempting to make someone believe that war propaganda is a new phenomena of the Obama administration.
The war propaganda PR has been in full force since pre American Revolution, it was ramped up for the Civil War and sent off the charts since the beginning of WWII.
Therefore, "In previous years, the Pentagon was tasked with defending the nation," hasn't been true since WWII ended, and [but under the new Obama collective, the military arm will continue to focus on ‘managing reality’] is an outrageous false narrative.
This article makes one wonder if it's secret mission isn't to make the Public forget or confused about the war mongering and consequent "redistribution" of immense public wealth into the hands of the military industrial complex and big oil, under the Bush administration and his comparable predecessors!
In fact, many believe that Obama's choice of Hagel as Sec. of Defense is to help tamp down the war promoting falsehoods and rhetoric of the Pentagon and War Industry. Can anyone point out how this article is not anything more than an attack upon Obama?
"Time to Nationalize Our Oil and Natural Gas, To Pay Down Our
National Debt! Norway Has Done it, And They Have 400 Billion in the
Bank!" (http://current.com/community/94064114_time-to-nationalize-our-oil-and-natural-gas-to-pay-down-our-national-debt-norway-has-done-it-and-they-have-400-billion-in-the-bank.htm),
I say it's WAY past that time! But, it will never happen unless WE march on Washington demanding it, without leaving before we it happens... In fact, it will probably require a nationwide march on Washington
before anything truly consequential and beneficial to the American
People ever occurs or is remedied. I don't mind abandoning and
risking all to make that march. I'd rather go down living up to the
challenges of our Constitutional legacy than being locked in the milking
chamber and ultimately sent to the dog food factory.
One would think that the Pentagon is anxious to put a lid on the public ire over the public service and controversial military activities revealed by Bradley Manning, via Wikileaks. But, is the military so Neanderthal minded that they will allow their first nature of pure unmitigated aggression and violence to completely overwhelm their limited reasoning ability? To consider the paramount issue of "aiding and abetting the enemy" one must explore the definition and identity of enemy. Manning maintains that nothing he contributed to the Wikileaks releases "aided or abetted" Al Queda. It's impossible to credibly prove otherwise. The real damage the leaks caused the military was being outed by the truth and the loss of face it caused them and the State Department around the world. Will the military decide that the world is the enemy, and Manning aided the world? "Manning's Wikileaks" aided and abetted the truth, knowledge and understanding of U.S. citizens, voters and taxpayers. Has the military determined that Americans are the enemy, and Manning committed treason by aiding us? To the degree that the military which we pay for, has been exclusively used by big business to grow their profits, which they ship overseas to avoid compensating taxpayers with a return on our investment, and which has openly declared that they are the enemy of the public by being responsible to profit only, by any means, the military has effectively waged a war against the American People. In that light, I confess that Manning may have aided and abetted the "military's enemy," us!
Does this scenario justify a law that would penalize the loser of a frivolous and damaging lawsuit with an automatic financial compensation to the wrongfully charged, determined in value by the same jury which decided the verdict? Or, should it be an automatic fine of 150% of the sum they've sued for?
"Sheldon Adelson this week filed another defamation suit against a journalist"
"a story profiling his litigation battle against the former president of his Macau casino operations"
" the U.S. Department of Justice and Securities and Exchange Commission are conducting criminal and civil investigations into Las Vegas Sands’ activities in Macau, historically a smuggler’s paradise riddled with Triad organized crime influence"
"The Adelson suit contains the telltale signs of litigation intended more to harass than prevail"
"Adelson sued me into bankruptcy over a brief passage in my 2005 book, Sharks in the Desert: The Founding Fathers and Current Kings of Las Vegas"
Those ruled by money don't understand any motivations greater than money, and never will. There is their Achilles heel, if one can spear it.
This headline suggests the least of the issue. Much like the Vatican, Wall Street, with it's finance and banking, has virtually become a nation within a nation. An institution with it's own laws, regulations, enforcement provisions and self penalizing, is an autonomous and independent institution. Wall Street has become a nation which wreaks havoc and destruction upon the world, but is being fostered and protected by the Corporate Right U.S. Government. If the nation of Wall Street is ever to be brought under control and be held accountable for it's destructiveness and violation of U.S. laws, it will require U.S. citizens to collectively take action against it, ourselves.
In response to this question, "Have We As Americans Been Bred To Kill Our Fellow Humans?", the lack of historical perspective on the subject, as well as the individualization and particularization of the subject, I respond, absolutely not!
Described here are merely the primitive and pre civilized animal
impulses of many, not particularly Americans (after all, Hitler and the
Holocaust was not long ago, but the Catholic Inquisition and genocide of natives quite a while ago), that must always be monitored and
suppressed in any society. They are the expressions of lower brain
impulses that all too readily overwhelm socialization and under
proportioned higher brain activity in many, particularly the Corporate
Right. The modern military, as it has often been historically practiced,
is a product of the Corporate Right. It is the lower brain domination
of higher brain socialization and civilizing forces which characterize
those who comprise the Corporate Right and those who have acted just
like them since the dawn of civilization, and will as long as people are
homo sapiens; animals.
